Are Vitamins food?

I am having this discussion and would like some feedback from all you who are reading the blog.

Do Vitamins count as food?

You eat food to get Vitamins from the food. But, you cannot live on Vitamins alone. Your body needs FOOD. However, it is something that you consume. If they do not count as food, I will start taking some to suppliment the malnutrition I am probably getting :)

Post in the comment section your comments on whether or not Vitamins count as a food.

  1. I don't think vitamins are any specific food grop so they must not count as food. I think you should start taking a multi-vitamin every day. You should feel better. Maybe for your next challenge you could try to eat healthy on a tight budget. At least the month is almost half over! :-)

  2. You take vitamins to get the nutrients that you dont get in food. Also I have never heard anyone say that they ate their vitamins today. So I think it would be good for you to take some vitamins especially if you dont have coffee, they will give you energy.

  3. Dude, you are not malnutritioned. Just read back over your posts and look at all the food you're eating.

There are real malnutritioned people in this world - most of them children - and they eat a fraction of what you're eating, even in January. Unfortunately, they can't go to chich-fil-a, eat pizza with their friends, or go back to normal in February.

I challenge you to donate some of the money you've saved this month to a trustworthy hunger relief agency:

    etc.
